This super simple breadsticks recipe features a garlic and parsley butter that elevates them to another dimension. You can enjoy these alongside my copycat Olive Garden salad recipe or use them to dip in a soup or as a snack that makes you feel like you are out at a fancy restaurant from the comfort of your home.

Ingredients:
Breadsticks:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp of white sugar
1 cup of tepid water
1.5 tsp of instant yeast
4 tbsp of melted butter
2 tbsp of salt
For the topping:
4 tbsp of melted butter
1 tsp of salt
5 cloves of garlic, minced
.25 cups of parsley, finely diced
Let's Assemble!

Essential Equipment
My stand mixer is the Kitchen Aid artisan stand mixer. I use it so often for baking, mixing dips, and even shredding chicken.
I got my gorgeous vintage pyrex bowls as a wedding present. I have found a few sets in good condition on Ebay and Etsy.
You need a silicone brush, I got mine from Target, but they are available anywhere that kitchen supplies are sold.
My kitchen scale is accurate and beautiful! It matches all of my other white appliances and I love that in a kitchen item.
I got the ingredients for this recipe from my local Vons! Very accessible ingredients.
For the Breadsticks:
Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Attach your dough hook to your stand mixer.
Combine the tepid water, yeast, sugar, melted butter, and salt in the bowl of the stand mixer. Mix at low speed for about a minute.
Add the flour about .5 cup at a time. Once all flour is added, increase the speed to medium and knead the dough for about 15 minutes or until the dough looks smooth.
Oil a large bowl and transfer the dough to the bowl. Cover the bowl with a moist towel.
Let rest for 1-1.5 hours, until the dough has doubled in size.
Once doubled, divide into 12 equal portions, use your scale for this step to ensure that the breadsticks cook evenly. Mine ended up being about 60 grams each.
Roll each portion out into an 8 inch long breadstick shape. Place the breadsticks on your baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover again with a moist towel and let rest for about one more hour, until they have doubled in size again.
While rising, preheat the oven to 400F and bake for 12-14 minutes until light golden.
Remove from the oven and brush immediately with the garlic/parsley butter.
For the garlic and parsley butter:
Melt the butter.
Mince the garlic and pasley.
Add to the melted butter.
Brush the breadsticks with the melted butter.
