High Protein Lunches: Tuna Salad with Pickles

This whole recipe has only 4 main ingredients and a few spices. All together it takes about 5 minutes to make and can be enjoyed with crackers or spoon. The pickles add some delicious briney flavor and the Greek yogurt adds some extra protein.


You are gonna love this one!





 

Ingredients:

Can of tuna

1/2 red onion

3 pickle spears, diced

1/2 cup of greek yogurt

1 tbsp finely chopped dill

1 tsp of chili flakes

salt and pepper to taste

Essential Equipment

My favorite tinned fish is from Fishwife Tinned Fish. In addition to their delicious, high quality fish, they have the cutest packaging in the game and merch to match.


My pasta bowls are the Anthropologie Briar pasta bowls and they are unfortunately no longer available. The closest thing that I could find are the Ginny pasta bowls, also adorable, but shinier than the Briar ones.


I got my gorgeous vintage pyrex bowls as a wedding present. I have found a few sets in good condition on Ebay and Etsy.


My knives are the Miyabi Kaizan II collection from Williams Sonoma. I love them so much and they have changed the chopping game.


For the tuna salad:

Add canned tuna to a small bowl.


Smash with a fork.


Add Greek yogurt, diced pickles, diced red onion, dill, chili flakes, salt and pepper to the bowl.


Mix until uniform.


Enjoy with crackers, on bread or with a spoon.
